Dalquist already out after allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in 1.1 IP

Gavin Sheets with a home run. Burger already 1-2, average up to .279

With Burger’s hot start I see him being used as a potential trade piece. There’s no place for him in our lineup at 1b/3b/DH for the next several seasons as these spots are locked up by young talent.

Burger might be enough to get us a good mid-level outfielder to fill the gap until Eloy or Robert get back.

just a thought

I’d rather keep burger and bring sheets up to play the outfield.

The upside to having injuries to the mlb roster is that you get to bring up young talent to check out their progress. Nobody trades until the deadline anyway unless you really overpay which the Sox won’t do

Sheets 4-4.

Man, Kanny outside of Jose Rodriguez is all in worse than a rut.

Who is looking for his skillset?

There’s always plenty of teams who can use a young power hitting corner infielder.

One that has missed years with injuries?  I don't buy it.

Yes like our team, our third baseman has a whole 3 homeruns can someone as strong as moncada is has zero power.

There's a lot of bad baseball in the minors right now. Maybe because of 2020.

I have seen some good ones, but replacing Moncada with Burger ranks high.

Coming from you i will take as a compliment, but the statement still stands, the golden boy has zero power.

Everybody keeps saying "it was expected that Kannapolis would struggle." They haven't just struggled, they have been fucking garbage. It was the team everybody was excited to watch, and pretty much every player aside from Jose Rodriguez has sucked.

True, but he is highly talented. I don’t propose that we could flip him for a superstar OF, more like a serviceable replacement for our injured guys.
Burger has been impressive at the plate thus far and we don’t really have a place for him in the lineup in the foreseeable future. We can trade from this position of abundance to fill in our injured outfield. That’s the only point I was trying to make.

His xSLG is in the 72nd percentile...

Let’s be honest, most of these kids weren’t ready for full season ball.  The good news is that they can go back there in 2022 and still be more than age appropriate.

Need Cespedes in action, or Vera, to have something besides Burger/Sheets to be excited about...

There is a large leap between talented and Yoan Moncada.

Yes, that’s why I wouldn’t mind shipping him off. Moncada is our 3b and there’s almost no way Burger will replace him. So let’s move him while he’s hot and get a replacement for our OF
