Not surprised though, pitching is really weak in A levels now, not even prospect wise. Every 6-9th inning Kannys pen gives up 5-10 runs

Agreed.

River Town.  80 name.

Every time a name like this comes along, I'm reminded that once upon a time the Sox had a dude named Storm Throne.

My favorite is still the Bears linebacker Michael Stonebreaker.

This is a really disappointing Day 3.  All older college players so far.  Either they didn't save any money yesterday, or they are taking the cheap way out.

Yeah it's very disappointing

Really excited for Smelley.

When Sox selected Gunnar Troutwine he seemed like a big character that would fade away but he’s been pretty damn great offensively this year. Sox have found some interesting catchers.

Yeah. It’s kinda of weird to draft for organizational need late, but with less minor league teams balance is more important. No point in having developmental bats on the bench. You can never have enough pitchers though

Odd question, but how are these JC guys coming out of JC at 21 and have 3 years at at JC? Is it because of the lost year for COVID or is this normal?

Alaska Abney.  I wonder where he was conceived.

HS OFer Cameron Butler taken. #210 on BAs Top 500.

Covid. Everyone was granted another year of eligibility.

Thanks. I knew all athletes were all granted another year. I just wasn't sure if that was the only reason.

Sounds like Butler will be one of the overslot guys for today.

Still no one has taken Isaiah Thomas? Is he going to school and won’t sign or what?

Round 14 and the Pirates take the first HS guy who won't sign.  Manfred really fucked this thing up.

The Royals took Luca Tresh.  That's really interesting.  I wonder if they think they can sign him and if so why wouldn't they pull the trigger sooner?

The Angels have taken a pitcher in every round.  :lolhitting
