Well, this group has picked a lane, which is more than I can ever say for GarPax.

  • This all just sucks. I had got some great tickets for tomorrow night for my son to celebrate his getting his second shot and he been watching so much bulls. He was literally counting down the days. Th

Pretty sure the Vuc deal came at the deadline last year, with absolutely no rumors leading up. We can wait until 3:00 PM ET to judge.

They really don't have a lot of wiggle room so it's hard to be mad at them

That deal was early in the morning. The Theis deal happened pretty late in the deadline.

I think they don't want to give up their long(er) term chips for anything out there. Which I get and respect.  I would be more concerned if they bailed on short-term fixes knowing that really none of the moves out there make them that much strong(er) of contenders. I expect depth moves at low cost to LT value and I think that makes sense given where they are and with the # of players down.

Ah, thank you.

Wow the Wizards got Porzingis for Dinwiddie. That really came out of nowhere.

We need to complete the Trade Raptor.

Is Porzingis any good?  I don't even know what to think of that trade other than I don't think Porzingis is good (and if he is he's always hurt but I will admit I pay no attention to Dallas other than watching Doncic highlights).

I mean if they traded him for Dinwiddie, then that tells you how good the Mavs thought he was. KP hasn't shot the ball well very well this season.

I will be honest, the Bulls have WAY outperformed what I though they could do this year.  That said, it isn't worth giving up a key long term piece without getting something big time in return.  This isn't going to be their year anyway.  They are still transitioning the roster into something that it contender worthy.  There is nothing wrong with sitting on Coby and Patrick Williams until either a home run shows itself,  or until its time.

Caruso, Ball, Vuc, Lavine and DeRozan have played 95 minutes together.

There still could be deals announced after the deadline, but it looks like the Bulls stood pat.

Theis for Schroder.

If Bulls can sign Dragic that's a win. As I mentioned a few days ago, they just got completely squeezed by circumstance.

Prayers for Thompson.

lol Schroder ended up getting traded for Theis.

I'm not sure how Dragic really helps this team if Ball and Caruso will be back by the start of March. They really need front court depth and it looks like Tristan Thompson might be the best buyout option (ugh).

Theis probably hates deadline day.

Because they need to not be a 7 seed or worse by time the playoffs start.

2 last minute trades in back to back years.

I know Harden is great....but there is something about him to me that makes me think he is a tad overrated. Of course Simmons wasn't playing, but i'm not sure they are a ton better than they were. I really like the trade for Brooklyn. Harden was going to leave and/or start causing problems. Simmons is a nice match since he doesn't have to score, and Curry has been really good. Plus some first rounders.

I get if you ae a Sixers fan being excited about it, but they only play with one ball.

His attitude has been more of a thing with each successive year, but he's a helluva ballplayer when he's on the court and motivated. They were a healthy CP3 hamstring away from knocking off the Warriors with Durant. He adapted himself repeatedly to other systems and was able to have success doing so. He also seems like an excellent fit alongside Embiid, because he has been a successful ball distributor and shooter in the past.

I'm not sure that he can stay healthy like he once did as I'm pretty sure he stopped taking decent care of himself after the Paul/Westbrook trade imploded on him, and yeah he's been completely unmotivated the last 2 seasons so?

If they can take care of business in this 6 game home stand, I think they have enough of a cushion to keep a top 6 spot until the injured guys return.

Dragic is more of a move that helps them now - vs. the longer run, but seeding matters/helps.  I wonder if Theis gets bought out (I presume not - since Celtics have had him / liked him in past)...if he did Bulls could get him now.
