Players on the 40 man roster get sent to Charlotte, or sometimes Birmingham. Players not on the 40 man roster get reassigned to the minor league camp. Both things mean they start the year in the minors.
April 3, 20224 yr I don't think anyone on the FA market is even an option, they need someone whose stretched out and ready to go, not someone who will need 3 weeks and be ready by mid-May.
