Kelly for the ninth

This seems like stubbornness from STL memories vs. results last season.

That said he used his best reliever against the heart of Jays' lineup.

Chapman Moreno/Kirk Biggio next

isn't that determined by fan voting still?

Yeah but I think it's probably hard for most fans to not vote for a guy hitting .360.

Didn't they just win games 13-0 and 7-0 recently?

I know as of a week ago the Sox had the fewest wins in baseball by more than 3 runs. We're really doing this?

Checking in to say LaRussa has to try and get more innings out of his starters.....somehow.

Also Robert is starting to get a lazy approach on the bases and outfield.

But you can't bench him for Engel with an 11 game hitting streak.

I like the move of Graveman v their best. Now we have to close this out.

7th and 8th innings for Sox hitters took about 3 minutes.  Sheesh.

He did try and we ended up giving up 3 more runs because of it. Which required us to use our best relief pitchers despite being up by 6 halfway through the game.

The Pirates swept the Dodgers in LA a few weeks ago. I'm sure at some point this year the O's will sweep or win 3 of 4 against the Yankees in NY. Not trying to be rude or anything, but 1 series (regardless of outcome) doesn't prove anything.

Prove no. But shows they can.

No walks!!!!!!!

Yes. Because you said could they win an easy game for once. It's been more than once just recently.

I called joe Kelly as the closer from day 1 steady pimpin do or die style check my post history.  I was right and they were wrong!

All those clowns thinking gravemen was a closer, I said Kelly believe in me fools

really big fan of tonight's strike zone right now

I'm surprised Kelly is still going with the hesitation stuff after he hurt himself doing it last month.

$1 for every time someone calls Kelly "hyper competitive."

Mr. T?

Let's wait until he actually closes the game successfully first.

Lineup is gonna roll over unless we get a double play. Not great.

Have to get Biggio.

Does Ruiz have options left? If not I'd expect Foster goes down when he returns from Bereavement. Or maybe VV DFA?

EDIT: Didn't realize Lambert and Banks were still up.

Have to bust Biggio in with fastballs.

Is Kelly really not wearing glasses cause of pitch comm?

Nope

What an awful pitch. What an awful signing.
