Josh Harrison has had a better wRC+ than Merrifield the last 2 seasons. Merrifield just isn't good at the plate anymore. 

Can't see him helping us, he's been on a downward trend for about 4 years now, forget about it.

I'll give him this, he doesn't hit ground balls.

But if we go after underperforming hitters I'd rather have upside power.

Whoa, no idea it had gotten that bad.

Only way I trade for Merrifield is if it's straight up for Leury.

No thanks.  Let’s not waste any of our very limited resources on Whit.

Agreed

Merrifield is not really an upgrade over Harrison at this stage in his career. Royals should have traded him years ago when his value was higher.
