My fear is Hahn overpaying for B & C tier talent.  Let’s say fathom is right and the Twins go get Mahle, you know Hahn is going to overpay for someone like Thor or Quintana, which will not have a material impact on our chances to win in October.

They gave the deal a C. Mariners are desperate for a playoff spot, Haniger is currently rehabbing so will be back soon, but they needed a starter. They got the top one on the market but paid a high price. It won’t put them past the Astros, but it’s been so long since they made the playoffs that a wild card appearance and the second year in the deal justifies it.

BoSox got a real bargain on Sale, judging by this return.
