Faucher is about as bad as you'll ever see the Rays starting. Let's see if the Sox bats can take advantage.

Expected to go 4 innings... roughly 60 pitches.  But not as a classic opener.

I hate when the Sox get a runner at 1B because I have to see Daryl Boston's face.

  • You've been judging the Sox "on paper" for the last 2+ seasons, how has that worked out for you?  The Rays could not be more different than the Sox. They pitch incredibly well (don't strike a ton

The level to which you have to suck to walk 5 White Sox in an inning is insane

lol Benitendi sucks.

Dispirited resistance.

Benintendi closing in on being the new Pollock.  Doesn't look happy.

he's thrown three hangers, we've hit none of them in play.

Nick Madrigal career ISO: .066

Andrew Benentendi ISO so far this year: .061

This is fucking pathetic. Just terrible AB after terrible AB.

Combined bullpen no hitter?

Spoiler

How many sub 2-3 minute innings is that on offense?

1-2-3

Vaughn's going to be in his mid 30s, having never surpassed 20 HR's in a season, and I'll be adamant that one day soon the power is coming

Pricing way too high for Sox involvement...

No walks and no power leads to a lot of quick innings, it turns out

Rays announcer Brian Anderson commenting on the White Sox not taking walks and constantly swing at pitches out of the zone, every White Sox opponent knows this. Why isn’t this problem being addressed by the White Sox brain trust.

Except his hair will be like Ron Howard by then...

Kopech is going to injury his shoulder with that amount of horizontal movement on his release.

They did take a ton of walks 2-3 years ago... didn't last, obviously.

Nice frame job lol.

Surely he'll fix that by then. He can talk to Paulie's guy.

They don't have to swing Jason

I still can't figure out how that happened. Grandal walked like Barry Bonds, Moncada was healthy all year, but aside from that... it doesn't make much sense.

There seems to be no path to me where this team won't be bottom 5 in walk rate even with everyone healthy.

Kopech is another failed development. Sigh.

Katz was able to unlock Lucas, Cease and Rodon. Too early to say one way or another with Kopech (imo) but it's possible he just isn't that good.

Announcers giving Sox less respect than Washington Generals...

Sigh...
