Good question. Looking like it will mark eight straight years without a playoff appearance in a league where basically half the teams get in.

That's pretty bad.

Bring back Alpo.

I've heard Faulkner and some of the business opps are too involved. Danny needs to start with her then work his way down to potentially Davidson. Kyle has done a good job of tearing it down. He's done a poor job of building around Bedard. From the lack of top 6 talent to getting players who are "nice guys" but have 0 grit or sandpaper. And the big guys they have play like their 5'7 (looking at you Alex Vlasic). Then there's the lack of development in the minors not caring enough about the Rockford team and rushing other guys to the NHL when they clearly weren't ready yet (Korchinski) Its a serious issue top to bottom.

And don't get me started on Blashill and the assistants. Beyond horrible (other than maybe Peca and Waite). He doesn't adapt to the players he has. He wants to play like he has big bruising forwards and defenseman like they're Vegas or Florida. And they should've fired Vellucci ages ago.

This Blackhawks team is laughably bad.

I chuckled with my wife that the Blackhawks and Bulls were both playing last night and not a sports fan in Chicago should have cared. Not sure if either were at home but you couldn't have paid me to go to either of those games.

You could almost argue they've been lucky the last few years with the Bears ascending, both teams have been able to fly under the radar more, as fans attention are placed elsewhere.

The Bulls continue to be the Bulls, but the Blackhawks situation is probably worse, literally nothing has gone right. They've been rebuilding for 5 years and have produced absolutely NO results. And the payoff for those last 5 years are mostly on the team right now, from my understanding the prospect pool isn't very exciting right now across the Blackhawks organization. And that might be the worst part....to fix this, you might be in for another 4-5 year rebuild, but by different people running the show. There is no end in sight here.

Sooner they clean house the better - how the current front office has gotten so much grace is beyond me.

It is amazing how after that Keith, Kane, Toews etc core aged out, this franchise has done NOTHING. It reminds me of going from the Roenick, Belfour etc, era to wandering lost in the woods for a decade.

And Tulsky (who just won a Stanley Cup GM'ing the Hurricanes) is the guy Danny Wirtz passed on to hire his buddy Kyle Davidson.

Correct, and when is enough finally enough? They’re going to fall to 4-12-1 on the season, and what has been shown this team is making any progress? What are you waiting to see?

Don’t make a move just to make it, but I don’t know how you don’t look at things and say “Something is seriously wrong”

I wonder what the modern NHL record is for the worst record or fewest points in a season?

Because the Blackhawks may be on their way to matching it or exceeding it.

Just incredibly bad, just awful. The TNT analysts ripped them up and down last night between periods of the Florida game.

May as well keep losing/taking now to get that very, very high draft pick (not that they'll know what to do with it based on the production of the other high picks they've had save for Bedard.)

Danny just signed Davidson to an extension. Unfortunately we are stuck with him and hope he and the front office can figure this out. What Danny should do is bite the money and clean house. From Jaime Faulkner to Kyle Davidson to Jeff Blashill.

You are likely a bottom 3 team again this year. If you win #1, you get Landon Dupont (I know, I know another young prospect but that kid is gonna be very good). You still got Bedard, Frondell, Levshunov, Knight and Kansterov. I am hiring a President of hockey ops who actually has a hockey background and knows what their doing (anybody but Peter Chiarelli. He's brutal) and that person can hire their own GM (who will also likely have a hockey background) and then build around that core. The rest of the young guys and vets on the roster are expandable.
