I like the versatility and it did seem like he was starting to get hot right before he went MIA for the season.

With Romy having two options remaining, I probably would have cut Peralta or Ramsey first. But not worth getting too worked about. 

Sox 40 man is in a weird spot. Getz has turned over so much of it that we’re basically down to cutting guys he’s recently acquired if they continue to add 40 man pieces without subtracting. You got Peralta, Ramsey and Speas and then after those three there really aren’t obvious DFA candidates if you work under the assumption Getz is not going to DFA guys he recently signed or traded for.
