As someone who had to deal with vestibular neuritis after a nasty sinus infection... I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Permanent damage and a solid 2-3 months of therapy just to feel normal again.

It has to do with the crystals inside the ear.  I’ve had two really bad attacks and would not wish it on my worst enemy.
