Any up-to-date info on Thorpe surgery?

Featured Replies

The last I heard was back in early September, when we were told that his injury was a bone spur on his elbow. The plan was to shave down the bone spur and that would clear up the problem.  Again, that is the last I heard of it.

Has anyone heard anything since? Was the surgery successful? Is he throwing or due to begin throwing? Anything?

Knowing the Sox penchant for communications, we will find out something when pitchers and catchers report in February.

Only to report, and then shut down and have TJ

It checks out.

I've heard that Thorpe will be coming in to Spring Training in the best shape of his life.

That's the White Sox way.

Oh your clock started? Better get an image and have surgery.

Velo down?  Not sure why?  Better get an image and have surgery.

The Sox were involved in the first chapter: Zack Wheeler getting more money because he pitched less.  That was the beginning of the end.

Unless the league office makes some drastic changes to service time and roster rules, the next generation of MLB pitchers will be nameless, faceless, supporting characters who go once through the lineup every 3rd day.
