I have no idea where you're going, here. Are you now saying that the Sox don't use networking to hire people? You just seem to be arguing anything.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

5D Chess in order to throw you off.

Oblique.

The normal head on Balta Blitzkrieg tactics doesn't seem to be particularly effective so going with Trump Style of being totally un predictable and errratic.

Except one core truism: Make (LA) Dodgers Great Again.

MLADGA.

Best developmental guys in low minors.

That may or may not be a Santos or Jirschele...leadership, strategy, rapport with vets/AAAA types, balancing winning vs. development etc.  Dealing with guys sent down or blocked. Pushing some, comforting others. Different skill sets.

Clearly Santos is now the heir apparent after V enable.

I don’t buy the notion that your AAA is you Mr manager in waiting. That’s not good imo and wasn’t everyone on this board ragging the Sox for being too insular?

In reality it's AA but they clearly wanted to keep Project Birmingham group together as they progressed together to Charlotte....Montgomery Quero Keel Meidroth Ramos will all be there, maybe Baldwin.

Walt Hriniak had a .586 lifetime OPS in 111 pro plate appearances. Nobody believes that a hitting instructor must have won multiple batting titles in order to be able to teach hitting.

I once thought that Hriniak was not good for either Robin Ventura or Frank Thomas. I could see that style working for some light-hitting banjo hitter, but not for those two guys.

Didn't work out so well for Sosa.

I have no idea if Nicky is or will be a good hitting coach. One thing I do know, if he didn’t have his cup of coffee with the White Sox, he would have a different job now, and that, in the past, has been a huge problem. So the skepticism should be understood. I do believe he is a coach’s son, so he may have some of that in his DNA.

Networking sure is dumb.

Maybe it's just because he is so popular with the ladies...

Both Sosa and Cory Snyder simply could not adjust to the way Hriniak wanted them to try to hit. Snyder at least tried, did an interview with him where he talked about the issues but Sosa I've been told simply refused to go along. He wanted to be a home run hitter and pull everything.

That wasn't Walt's way and at that time Hriniak had a lot more power than Sosa.

Boy has the Sox "networking" worked so well over the years.

When Frank Thomas was struggling after Hrniak was let go, he would go see him.

The Sox networking is going to a conference and only talking to your coworkers. Very relatable btw.
