The first paragraph really shows the different view point. Clark says the cap isn't in the best interest of the players. This is unequivocally correct.

However is it in the best interest of the game? In the long term it could effect the interests of the players.

caps can't replace good scouting and development. The same teams will still be on top.

The only cap should be a minimum that owners must spend.
