Mark Buehrle statue to be unveiled on July 11

Cash Considerations Imagining statue coming soon...might have to move Crede or Uribe out of the way.

Let's not hire the D-Wade artist on the cheap please.

Fortunately JR commissioned a bunch of work to be done simultaneously in order to get a 15% discount...

Maybe that's because not a lot of people were there?

Any word on attendance the first night?  Obviously it was a much smaller (more intimate) venue than past hotel or convention center years.

About time. Guys like Mark, in a small way, balance out the Sosas, Bonds, and Roses of the game.

They will probably sell out that night. Statue pays for itself.

The MLB story mentioned his pitching in game three 2005 WS after some beer and beers were brought out to the panel.  He bought beers for all in the room.....that is just so Mark Buehrle!  I remember reading stories of him taking rookies to a tailor in NYC and buying them suits.

He did.  It was the highlight of the night.

I was told this morning by a member of the mainstream media that it was not a sell out on Friday but they were expecting more people on Saturday.
