I don't even think prospect fatigue fully covers it. I think some people (within Sox fandom specifically) are trying to talk themselves into it being a tougher choice so that they can reserve the righ

I think their comp pick is in the 35th overall range. I reckon the talent we could push down to that range would be better than any prospect we could trade for.

This is just a great draft class. Anyone picking in the first 15 should walk away with a stud.

Sounded like "bodies at the track," like he was figuratively killing Rhode Island pitching this weekend.

Do you really think he would be on the major league squad as soon as 2027?

It's not the craziest thing ever done by the Sox.

By like midseason, yeah. Start in Winston this year, finish in AA. Big league invite to ST, start in AA or AAA with a call up basically at any time.

Yeah but usually when they bring them up quickly they're rushing development. I realize that Roch is an unusual case though, might be MLB ready now...

Get him signed quickly in 26, give him his low A/A experience, then see if he can run the three levels by the ASB/September in 27.  He's one of the most league ready hitters to come through the draft in quite a while.  He will tell you by his play as a pro if he can do it.

Or the Angels. They bring all the first round ones up really early.

He seems like he has enough bandwidth to be able to handle the challenge without being hurt by the  jump

A lot of similarities here with Tim Anderson, down to the region of the country he's from.

94 mph arm strength and one of the best sixty times around with lots of protection remaining in his game.

Unique unicorn SS/CF.

Oof on Flukey.

No more LHPers lol...not even if they have Thome as their last name.

Luckily, Joseph Contreras is RHed.

This Will Gasparino kid from UCLA is having a monster start. Is he a legit draft prospect? Plays outfield which the Sox obviously need.

He isn't on the current top 100 college draft prospects list at BA, but in their weekly chat this was asked.

Who would you say has the biggest up arrow next to their name after the first two weeks of the college season?

I think Cameron Johnson is one of the first names I would point to. He lost a lot of buzz over the last two years, but the arm talent is super obvious and he seems to have made some real strike-throwing strides. He needs to keep making those, especially with his secondaries, but he's definitely an up arrow. I'd also mention LSU OF Jake Brown and Kansas State SS Dee Kennedy. Both are getting a lot of positive scout feedback.

Jacob Rudner chimes in to say Will Gasparino's name should be mentioned here, too.
