Amaya is starting way too much for my comfort. Drury looks like he's made the team, and they're looking for a spot. Also, Julks/Fletcher/Colas for a 2nd day in a row. DeLoach and Mitchell seem to be out of that tier of starting time. Narvaez also seems to be in serious enough consideration for him to be in a regular rotation with Lee and Thaiss. Maybe they just want competent veteran pitch calling for the starting pitchers in the early games instead of letting Teel/Quero get their exposure with 3 PAs a game.

Pitching data seems to be limited in Scottsdale.

This is some lineup

I admit, I'm rooting for Michael A. Taylor's elbow to take some time to snap back, and I'm rooting for Gallo strikeouts to put a quick end to that nonsense.

At least the no-hitter drama is past us.

A split squad lineup but it's the full roster. Yikes.

Gallo, Narvaez and Amaya have no business making this team.

I think there is a fairly good chance Amaya starts until they think Montgomery is ready. If none of them can hit go woth defense. He looks pretty good there.

I can almost guarantee that not only does Gallo make the team he inexplicably steals ABs from Vaughn, who we should be giving every single PA to try and figure it the hell out.

Vaughn will play every day

That's true for most of the camp invites, but there aren't any alternatives.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Amaya is starting so much because the Sox think Montgomery will be on the IL eventually, or they may just elect to keep him down.  Who would you want to start at SS if that happens?  Seems like they are just going with Amaya because he may be the best defender at SS.

Bases loaded.

I almost feel like ST doesn’t matter for him to the Sox and that they will start him in the rotation regardless due to how he pitched last year in 124 innings.  But I could be wrong, or you could be being sarcastic.  😀

Not watching either, but didn’t think about an injury.  Hopefully not what WE is referring to.  I think Venable said he had Perez, Cannon, and Davis as locks for the rotation.

This team really might lose 125 games

Not just this team, but no MLB team.  But these are the decisions a terrible team with no payroll has to make.

I would predict an L. I said it last year, I'll say it this year. There is no reason to ever throw Luis Robert a strike with this line up. And you know he will swing at many of them anyway.

Just think about how quickly it got ugly this ST with injuries and poor performance?  I think in under a month we are going to wish they just acquired and started a bunch of young players like Canario.

Zero protection yet again.  Hopefully he is smart enough to take advantage and set a career high in BB’s and OBP, but we all know how much he likes to hack at low and away garbage.

And when your GM has no clue how to evaluate offensive talent
