True, but maybe he can go on a Palka type run for a couple years while we have no one else at 1B and the team still sucks overall anyway.

Bottom line is you have to give the kid a shot because statically he's raking and he's a good fielder and that might be because he's taking walks this year and that might actually have helped him be a better hitter unlike Robert.

Vaughn can't field, hit, walk or run. Send him down. Maybe he'll be worth more if he can light up Charlotte . He's got all his options. Statistically he's the worst player in baseball. There's nothing to lose here.

It's the hitting that is making the Sox truly terrible. They'd be around 95-100 loss team with even a little bit more hitting, both power and batting average.

You backed up my claim about power and batting average and the overall hitting. 👍

Gilbert opening again today? When's the last time a pitcher had started back to back games?

I’m not sure but I guess a guy opening back to back days isn’t different than a reliever being used back to back days.

Starting Gilbert again today...not sure long they can go with that strategy without overexposing him.  We can't quite quit Amaya lol.

Benintendi Palacios Thaiss sitting not sure if Workman's going to be available.

Taylor playing today when he had great split against Severino yesterday from his time with the Nats.

Here’s what I hate (and hope he shuts me up), but why move Vargas back to lead off quickly?  Let him keep working on his swing without making him think of a different role in the lineup?

Because amazing leadoff hitter Palacios not in the lineup and Benintendi not 100% lol.  Ozzie would probably put Baldwin there "because he's pretty fast."

Baldwin does have the highest OPS on the team among players with more than 29 PA

With this nine, I'd go with a lineup like this at this point:

Baldwin

Sosa

Quero

Robert

Dalbec

Vargas

Vaughn

Taylor

Amaya

Except it assures he's going to see the same three guys at top of the lineup two days in a row, which seems pretty dumb to me
