chitownsportsfan
Nice games from Sosa, Quero, Robert and Meidroth and somehow Vasil went 2.1 of shut out ball. Helped by a slick double play started by Vargus. Quero and Meidroth have done wonders for keeping the offense moving and providing chances for runs. Both rocking an OBP of over .400 since coming up. That's probably the only time that's happened in a 100 or so PA sample in a long, long time. This team might not be historically awful anymore and is just plain old bad. We'll take it, if so.
PaleAleSox
Would like to see more of Vargas at first and Vaughn off this team. Vargas/Rojas can split 3rd and Elko/Vargas can split 1st/DH. Also pick up Leody Taveras from waivers and get rid of Josh P. He can play right and take over center when Robert is traded (although the Sox are about to win 15 in a row and get back in this).

Be interesting what they do if Beni needs a couple weeks for that hammy. You'd think Elko would have to be up here one way or another but who knows. greg775
Where the heck did Sox get this Quero guy? Sensational. Can u imagine how good Sox are gonna be when Elko gets called up? The Royals won't know what hit them in this upcoming series for the Sox are back. Prediction: Bet the house on Sox in game one of the series. Also I predict late in game one or game two there will be a bench clearing brawl. Officially your White Sox are back.

Summer is coming and he's gonna heat up IMO. He has a track record of at least hitting some summer time homers. He needs to be reminded to lift and pull better. Not only that but greg guarantees you this club isn't historically bad. Only way I eat my words is if suddenly the pitching turns to batting practice meat. It seems whoever is our pitching coach is doing a fine job and our new manager has a good handle on what to expect from each pitcher. I know you're just trolling but how is he going to learn to "lift and pull" better when we have almost 5 full years of data that says otherwise? Look at that hitch in his swing, it's worse than when he was a rookie. He hasn't matured physically or mentally as a hitter and he's got such a high bar to clear as a 1B/DH RHB that is bottom 1/5 on the bases an defensively, he'll never get there. Time to move on. Who even cares if goes on to have a little Burger like flash? We need to find out guys who will be here on the next (hopefully) good Sox team in 2-4 years, it sure ain't going to be Vaughn. That's unfortunate. I was hoping for historically awful until the problem went away.

As long as the team is doing well, I say give him some time. He'll hit some homers as the weather gets hot.

I think there is a danger that the fanbase can over-hype and over expect with Elko. He may come up and struggle and need to adjust without the expectation that he will come up and continue where he was at AAA. If he is 'just' league average that will be an improvement on what we have currently got at 1B
caulfield12
S.Smith vs. Ragans Burke vs. Lugo Cannon vs. Wacha On paper, just one out of three sounds about right...although a KC sweep wouldn't be much of a shocker there at home.

T R U
I find it hilarious were into May and mother nature has more saves (2) than the White Sox (1). Hell even the Rockies have 5 saves.

Given the Sox lost 27 games last year where they led in the 7th inning or later, maybe not having a lot of saves isn't all bad. 😆
