Preserve tradition and expand on it. Win win.On a personal level, I'm anti-dome since I love the impact the elements can play on a sport traditionally played outdoors. And I don't mind sitting in the rain or cold, I might even prefer it since there are likely fewer people in the park and I can wander around/sit where I want more freely.On the other hand, I'm sure a temperature-controlled climate would appeal to players (ie free agents we might want to sign) and help produce a larger fanbase. Rainouts would be a thing of the past. I think the positives of a dome outweigh the negatives, perhaps even from an economic perspective. I also like the idea of adaptive reuse and the current park is in fine shape, it would be wasteful and ecologically insensitive to construct a brand new park. I think a dome on an already-built park is more aligned with the political goals of Illinoisans than a brand new park is.
