My ONLY concern about overblown allegations of Reinsdorf being "cheap" has been because the continued use of that specific term implies something quite ugly to certain people. The fact is that JR, like any Owner, relies on many people in order to make decisions on acquiring expensive players. He has learned, as have other owners, that spending on player contracts does not always guarantee a championship. Maybe stick to cooking hotdogs for the family. That you are good at my friend. One idea might be for Ishbia to outright purchase the franchise for a few Billion and give Reinsdorf what he stated he wants - the right to remain as Chairman of the Board ... for perhaps 3 years , NOT for as long as he is alive.
