Timmy U
Colson 2K’s. Expanding his zone both up and down again. Hopefully he’s not backsliding.
Timmy U
Coffey blowing the game for Charlotte, so he is not headed to Baltimore.

He just might be another failed position player this organization is known for.

Which requires being at least a 725-750 OPS hitter at the major league level to make up for the negative defense. It's the same with Sosa, although at least Baldwin brings more to the running game. He probably can play SS as a backup and maybe CF but he was horrific in the corners and his bat stunk too. He might just be a AAAA guy. I dunno might as well just let him get regular experience down in AAA, he's still got a couple years of development in house even as a fast rising college pick before you can really say what he is. It's probably nothing but no rush to get him back up given current health of roster.

That has no bearing as to the idea that he was sent down to work on defense.

But if the White Sox continue to view him purely as a utility guy, and that was the common perception entering the season...it's hard to imagine how dramatically he could transform himself at CF LF RF 3B SS 2B in order to provide enough value to offset all the errors and fundamentals mistakes that he makes on a nearly daily basis. oldsox
Baldwin is in line to be CF in 2026.

He wasn't playing enough to get into any kind of offensive rhythm. Making him one of the lowest fWAR guys other than Vaughn and Amaya. On one of the five worst teams in baseball...but he doesn't come close to ONeil Cruz or Brenton Doyle. Maybe in Miami. Baldwin probably will get the OD nod, unless some lucky trade is made. Thus, he is in Charlotte to get some live action in CF.

With the strike/lockout in 27 there is no way JR is going to authorize any significant contracts.
