#BringBackBrooks?

Knights added another couple on a Teel single and B2B doubles from Elko and Fletcher to tie it at 3-3 after the first.

Charlotte offensive numbers tend to be misleading...

Have gone from promoting Braden to Birmingham/Chicago to more likely sending him back to Kannapolis...although neither is going to happen.

He will be in Winston Salem at least through mid to late July.

He’s not getting demoted

I was joking...but if he struggles for another 2-3 weeks like this, they'll have to consider doing something if he doesn't show any signs of coming out of it.

The internet is saying he is making loud contact today.

I hope Colson will be our McKenzie Gore. At some point, Gore was a can't-miss prospect. Then he went through a few years where he had trouble throwing in the strike zone. Even after his call-up, he was not exactly dominant. A bunch of publications soured on his likelihood of being a successful starter. However, he was given time to adjust and now is pitching like many thought he would at the beginning of his minor league career.

I know pitchers are different than position players. However, I think this is a good example of why rushing guys to the big leagues with a small amount of success is rarely a good thing. At some point, there is development that needs to happen, and better in the minor leagues than in the big leagues. I think this is what killed Andrew Vaughn. He had a small amount of minor-league success but the White Sox were such in a rush to get him here, he never truly developed.

They won't.

But this is why you don't promote kids too quickly either.

Palisch continues to look great as a starter. 6IP, 2R (both unearned), 5H, 1BB, 2K. Just 71 pitches.

Season ERA at 0.88, starter ERA at 0.66 through 5 starts (27 innings).

Taylor on in relief.

Nice to see unheralded prospects doing well. He's like the Elko of pitchers except he wasn't as consistently good as Elko.

Doesn't throw hard at all . Tops out at 90 I think. Just knows how to pitch , 4 pitch mix with command. Keeps guys off balance, induces soft contact.

The Jonathan Stiever of his day.
