Dude I've hardly posted anything the last couple days except for the game thread today. It's asinine to expect to sign a power hitter when they slashed payroll  again  and didn't even make sign a

I agree but I laughed because it's hard to even consider anybody a rival of us anymore, other than maybe the Rockies.

My god this broadcast is non stop glazing a turd.

What a joke. This is what happens when you have a culture of losing.

Lol well I came back just in time to see that comedy. Nice tag by Lee.

Dingler is a phenomenal framer

Just bad umping

Tigers just continue to throw him outside fastballs.  He better figure out how to fix that.

Sure but Dingler is third in framing for a reason.

So Sox fight back from a 4 run 1st inning deficit and the offense goes into a 3 inning coma after that.

He really is the Madrigal we were promised

I stepped away for a bit but this reminds me of this post I saw on r/whitesox

This umpire acting like he has money on the Tigers

Good curveball

Never cared much for framing stats. umps just miss too many calls to put much stock in it. If anyone wants to think that's because of catchers that's fine. There's too many pitches to think that Tigers pitching and bad umpiring gets thema lot of calls too. Their team WHIP is pretty low. So their guys don't walk that many and are close to the zone a lot.

Kahnle in to finish it

Rojas needs to hit a HR but not likely starting 0-2.

Amazing they let Taylor bat

Also not likely because he has no power

Defense flat out lost the Sox that game

Another 1 run loss. Sox at exactly that point on the skill/talent curve where it's very hard to win games on the margins but super easy to lose them there.

Didn't he hit some last year ?

Having no power really hurts.  They have to try so hard just to score one run.

Single digits the last three seasons

9 homers per 162 game average in Rojas’s career.  Better chances than both Madrigal and Little Nicky hitting one (each with 2 homers per 162 game average in their careers) but still rather unlikely.

8 in 422 at-bats for SEA (where homers go to die, according to maximal gravitational pull in that area)

The Sox needed power.  Getz signed a redundant glove-first infielder with no pop.
