You know what really gets me about balls called strikes is when the pitcher clearly is lacking command and the ump is like here you go have a free reward for not being able to throw a strike. makes no fucking sense.

So sick of the weak pop ups to the right side.  I say give him the rest of the year and if he’s under .200 again, you move on.  He’s completely broken at the plate.

Yea give him until the end of the year if he finishes replacement level he's a backup option at best next year.

I don't know about Vargas but I'm not too worried about Smith. I think he'll get there. Needs this break and a good offseason.

Just needs to reshape his breaking balls. That slider that was hit out had very little movement.  His pitch values on fangraphs shows his fastball and change as quality and the rest as negative.

This broadcast highlighting PCA is just WTF are you doing man. Do it like some other time.
