This is why people b**** more about Vargas than Sosa (I know you didn't complain about that).  We spent $325K on some 16 YO Cuban kid with Sosa.  It's a win that he's here even if he wouldn't be, at this point, for a reasonably decent team.  We traded a good chip for Vargas.  That's a massive whiff.
