Kinda funny that the Rogers twins both move before any Minnesota Twins.

Maybe there's a mandate from upstairs, and this has the Mets and Phillies in a bidding war. 

 

This trade was super risky for the Mets. An all out, World Series chasing, type of move. Butto + Gilbert + Tidwell for half a season of Tyler Rogers, who has been a beast. Execs around the league are shocked, think it could be an overpay. Only time can tell if it was worth it.

Tidwell has a career 5.05 ERA in Triple-A and Gilbert hasn't exactly lit up AAA either.

Butto is a good, not great reliever.

I really don't think the Mets gave up a ton here.

Any reason why?  I realize he isn’t getting any younger and will be turning 25 soon but his MiLB numbers aren’t bad.  If he’s a lefty bat with some pop and can actually stick at CF, why is he such a bad get?
