July 31, 2025Jul 31 If that was the return for Bader, hold onto Robert, he's so much better than a return like that. Nothing wrong with holding onto a dude who is still only 27 and still has so much upside, albeit risk is involved.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 Didn't give up much there, although I'm not seeing much info on the talent level of the 16 year old pitcher. Gomez was an interesting-ish prospect before falling on his face in A-ball. Hitting pretty well in AA now and just 21 years old but probably not a ton of upside.

Robert is a much better base runner, he's equal defensively, and his bat is much better. Bader has had a better year productivity wise, but his xWOBA is in the 24th percentile. Robert is up to the 42nd percentile and climbing. Bader fills a hole with a guy. Teams acquiring Robert are hoping he gets hot and can carry the offense at times. Bader isn't carrying any offenses.
