Falstaff
Were the Twin fans demanding that Bruxton get traded?

Even kicking in $30M wasn’t enough to return anyone of note.

Look at Ray Ray Run
Twins vetting Taj Bradley was a big one imo. He's got all the tools to be a #1 in this league.

Quin
I feel a little bad that the Ishbias were on the goal line to buy the Twins until the Sox roped them back in. Just a little.
Look at Ray Ray Run
While they had to sell to cut payroll, I think the Twins have the best future rotation in the central - better than Detroit. I'm a big fan of Abel and Bradley's arms, and zebby has looked dominant. Add in Pablo and Ober getting healthy with Joe Ryan, and I'd take those six for the next three years over most. Consider that Festa and Woods-Richardson are 7-8 guys and the Twins are deep in the rotation. Edit: forgot Joe Ryan who they should move for bats. The Twins did have the #10 farm system at MLB before all of these trades, so it isn't unreasonable to think they would have a big jump.

Tait is a very good hitting prospect. They got a few arms that have some upside, but a lot of what they got were guys who are roster fillers in a salary dump. Tait’s gonna move the needle, the rest? I am skeptical.

They've always had a good farm. They have also fired people when it wasn't.

Suprised they got anything when Houston took $70M guaranteed off the Twins ledger. The player they got is for optics. Hey it was technically a trade and not only a payroll dump although I don't see the point unless there are some rules involved I'm ignorant of.Teins paid $33M of Correa's contract but I'm wondering how much was on the books for the other 9 players they traded . Maybe it balanced out to getting rid of the whole Correa contract.
GreenSox
Twins weren’t going anywhere with that team. Moving them out for young players makes sense; they would have had to do it in a year or 2 anyway. They will take a small step back, but not a big one. I wish they hadn’t sold; also sad that Detroit was so tepid in their buying. The Sox probably didn’t have much to sell, but they have several that should have only been here for the purpose selling; and now that they can’t, they should be cut. I think that trading one of the starters (Martin, Burke, Cannon) will be a topic of discussion in December. If one of Smith or Schultz becomes an ace, Sox will have the best pitching in the division.
