One thing is Teel would be enthusiastic to do anything possible to stay in the big leagues...seems like a team first guy/ultimate cheerleader.

It is a bit reckless. He probably cost them the game last Friday with that spring to home he did from 3rd off the foul pop-out.

Sosa has got to be one of their starting 9. I think Meidroth is probably the odd man out.

Sosa has looked better lately at both second and first and I would bet that Teel could handle first, he would be better than AV.

Jirschele has admitted he needs to be in a better position to definitively yell go or stop/stay.  Take decisions away from base runners.

Hasn't Teel graded out well defensively at catcher? Not sure we want to completely pull him off the position.

Definitely kills his trade value...although that's not the main point.

 Sosa is proving he can hit. Yes his fielding needs work but he is only 25. He needs to spend the entire off season working on his defense. 

Teel has been better defensively so far than Quero, especially framing. I think it would be crazy to move him to 1b.

At least he has some genuine reasons to be enthusiastic now.  Not manufacturing it unauthentically.

You could see it coming .He ended 2024 on a hot streak , tore up the Venezuelan Winter League or was it the Dominican ? Then it was perform or you're out and he's kept it up . Me and @chitownsportsfan been his big rooters at least in the gamethreads

I don't think Teel is tall enough to be a good 1st baseman. They list him at 6' but I think he may be shorter.
