Glad Burke settled down after he walked the bases full and got out of it unscathed except for pitch count .

After 4 inings it's at a not too bad 59 pitches despite the 4 walks and 3 hits. Seems like he's throwing a lot of strikes to the guys he's getting out. 37 of the 59 pitches have been strikes. 5 K's.

maybe 2-3 guys on our entire staff are capable of locating fastballs to put guys away on any given night. We are a staff of junk ballers by and large, it's been...OK.

Barring any moves I'm expecting tonight's arrangement of Vargas/Colson/Meidroth/Sosa left to right with Mead as backup going into next year.

But Bonemer could push Mead out and Meidroth to the bench for example.

While I'm impressed with Bonemer I'm not looking at him as an option for 2026 but 2027 should be on the table when hes 21.

Hoping that when he gets to AA next year at some point that he keeps impressing.
