Not to you and your ilk, it wouldn't. Playoff appearances only matter for other teams.

I’m gonna vehemently disagree with this.  Those appearances meant nothing to the “ilk” because they were immediately followed by failure and another rebuild.  This owner has failed to capitalize on any playoff appearance, they haven’t won a playoff series since 05, and fans aren’t wrong to be pissed about it.

How long are you supposed to act like a broken hearted kicked puppy ?

I'm just trying to represent a fair shake for what they are trying to accomplish while Jerry is estate planning and has little to no interest in spending anything.

I could just as easily say your side is a doomsday cult. There are always different KoolAids to gulp . One is for living and one is for dying . I'd rather not be a part of the Sox Jonestown.

The term drinking the KoolAid  actually became part of our lexicon to mean blind allegiance to a doomed cause after the Jonestown Incident . Odd to think it applies to having hope or belief that things could be getting better even without much financing or help from ownership. Pity Party On Garths !

Considering you have been cyberstalking me for years now, who knows.  One day hopefully you will get over it and move... but I doubt it.  Seems to be every Soxtalk interaction you make these days.

Pity party indeed.

My "ilk" who apparently should be satisfied with beating the Twins in 2008 thanks to Hahn's son calling the coin toss correctly for home field advantage, and three total playoff wins across almost two decades???

Well whoopdeedoo.

Who are you crappin'?

You're getting to be more and more like Don Quixote by the day.

You just scolded Cali for not recognizing Tampa's playoff runs in his diatribe, but now you flip flop and contradict yourself...proving my point.

Oh, I agree with this. Just calling out Holden for his obvious contradictions. JR sucks, Hahn/KW did horribly in backing up their roster and extending it to the future.

I'm not so sure about that. If Getz revamps the entire front office, gets international producing again, starts popping major leaguers out of the minor league system, wins some games, I'm not sure why Ish would rip all that out and start over. I can't imagine he's not being briefed on how Getz is proceeding.

I'm not sure either which is why I said unlikely to sutvive a change in ownership. If Jerry survives longer than 2029 I'm not sure what happens. Is the plan to sell regardless in 2029 even if JR is still alive ?  If he passes before 2029 will the sons sell as soon as they can complete the sale asap or wait till 2029 when the stadium lease deal expires ?

Get over yourself. I've barely posted since tbe offseason started.

You go out of your way to make ridiculous unsupported claims about new hires and bad mouth the organization. This is not some grudge I hold against you . This is your grudge against the organization because you put your trust in JR and he let you down. You were the most gung ho for the rebuild claiming at 1 point that the Sox could rebuild and win it all without anything but draft picks.

Even when West Eddy says something like saying Colson's floor is Dejong you oppose him by saying his floor is an injured bum . I'm guessing you already know that when talent evaluators talk about floors and ceilings those terms apply to a range of outcomes for an uninjured MLB player. Of course anyone can be injured and have it ruin their career. You argue just to argue even when he makes a fairly benign point. I feel your pain brother. Im sorry JR has broken your heart and your spirit because you put your trust in him and even believing him after it all turned to s%*# and he said Getz was hired to turn things around quickly. So gullible . I didnt think you were born yesterday but apparently you were and now you spend your days trying to get all Sox fans to hang on to the past and not look forward to a new beginning. You'll be back in the fild someday. If not you wouldnt be here thinking youre on some mission to open eyes by spreading falsehoods and conjuring up negative  speculation about Sox coaches creating all the Tommy John injuries or why coaching hires got fired from previous jobs as if the Sox are the only team that hires fired coaches. No brother you go out of your way to stir the masses. You're the Mike North now of Soxtalk.

Not looking it up and just guessing wildly about it, I think starting in 2029, JR has the option of initiating a sale. That remains in effect until some time in 2033, at which point Ishbia then has the right to initiate the sale from his end. So, if JR passes before 2033, the family can compel Ishbia to start buying them out. If JR is still alive in 2033, Ishbia can begin compelling JR to sell to him.

Yes, as you repeatedly reply to my posts, and throw up your passive aggressive emojis on my posts, you aren't worried about me at all.  Your actions speak a whole different story.

You want a "new beginning" for real?  Look at your post right here.  Everything is dredging up the past.  Drop the stalking routine and actually talk baseball instead of all of the past times someone dared to disagree with you.  You remember your speech yesterday on "openmindedness" right.  Does that only apply to everyone else?  Take your own advice, quit acting like a kicked puppy and let things get better.   No need to keep playing the victim card.  Move on.  For real this time.

But why are we comparing ourselves to Tampa?

That's the toughest division in baseball many years and the smallest market saddled with that abysmal stadium?

The Sox believe it or not are NOT classified as the small or medium market JR created by himself.  Or should we be considered as the A's and a special case of franchise self sabotage be made?

Once again...from Top Ten in Forbes 2006 to 17th and pretty much dead even with SD in franchise valuation and continuing to fall in revenue production.

Which other teams have fallen that far respective to peers in the past two decades???

He has the OPTION.

He can hold his shares or move on and sell them as well.

Just as many shares sales went to JR's family this past year as the Ishbias

Maybe 40-45% 40-45% close to an even split then perhaps 10-15% with that remainder still held onto by individuals/families from all the available reporting.

I get that you usually answer a simple statement with a flurry of distracting questions that have nothing to do with the statement.

When did this motif become a rule where we're restricted in our comparisons? You compare the White Sox to whatever team crosses your head.

As for the rest of your questions, Hahn/KW assembled a team not built to last, did not establish a depth of prospects to replace that team, and Reinsdorf dithered while other factors cut into their operational budget. Tampa Bay is a fair comparison, as the Sox are in a cycle where they're cheaping out because of bad business decisions, and under those restrictions, the Sox have to become lean and mean.

Then the Brewers or Guardians seem to be the most relevant current examples. Or the Mariners/Cardinals.

The White Sox and Rockies honestly don't have ANY kind of discernible identity as an organization despite new tag lines every spring for marketing from Boyer.

But you can at least squint two years down the road and envision a path in the AL Central with Skubal gone.

The Rays are at least 3-5 years behind Toronto NYY Boston and Baltimore.

You are totally delusional and paranoid.  You think your arguments shouldnt be opposed and youre beyond reproach that you have to accuse me of stalking you and delete posts because you have a position of authority here ?  You do nothing  but spread false accusations and lie about the organization. You never talk baseball unless you think spreading lies about Bannister or Fuller is baseball talk. If you were a podcaster talking unsubstantiated crap you made up in your head out of the blue you'd be laughed off Youtube if that can actually happen. No single source that reports on the Sox with podcasts makes up stuff. Sox Machine, Locked on White Sox, Future Sox various podcasts, The 108, Sox in the Basement, CHGO, all give Getz a fair shake because they understand the circumstances he's working under.  I dont ever see you posting links to podcast topics that say anything positive about the Sox. Talking baseball is talking about who these new coaches are, their backgrounds why they were hired. It is not repeating over and over OMG another  guy from KC or saying same old Sox .  That's what being stuck in the past is. Everything they do is just the same old Sox making the same old mistakes. That's you ,Sox Schizophrenic urging us all to drink the KoolAid of Doom.  The Sox and me are out to get you 🤣.

1 - "why are you comparing the White Sox to the Brewers?!?"
2 - who gives a s%*#? Start that string.
3 - losers do that.
4 - again, who cares? The Rays have the connotative connection to winning through development and trading a player a year or two before the end of their control to stay in contention. If you're going to be like this, I will request you send your replies directly to me before posting so that I can grade them and tell you what you're allowed to reference.

Good day to you, sir!

Ah, so we are back to not wanting open-mindedness, just bald name calling and wanting to hear your opinion parroted back at you.  Glad to see your rant was entire self-serving and not self-reflective.

Do you honestly not know why we are compsring ourselves to Tampa ? Really ? You think JR is putting any money in this team before he moves on to the Big Tax Shelter in the Sky ? Seems to me Getz is trying to copy Tampa Bay's approach since he knows he's not getting any money but the bare minimum or at least build a better foundation for when Ishbia takes over since being a big market team without the competitive balance benefits seems like folly.

What name calling? It was a diagnosis . You've often told many posters that their feeling are hurt so if you can psycho-analyze without credentials so can I.

Then let’s be the “new and improved” Pirates, assuming Passan’s recent reporting is accurate.

They can at least quickly make up ground in the Central.
