Mets get Freddy Peralta from Brewers

Featured Replies

Brewers rewarding their own winning ways.

They stole the prospects we were hoping to potentially receive for Robert.

We were never going to get either of those even if we ate $19M.

Maybe this will open up the SP market

Agreed, although I do remember some people mentioned either one or both guys in the old massive Robert trade thread.

With all the moves the Mets have done recently, I wonder why they didn't resign Alonso

They wanted to get better at run prevention but then they added a guy who has never played 1B to play 1B and signed Bichette to play 3B so who knows.

LOL, Brewers are the king of the 90+ win seasons but always fall short in Oct.   At some point that loses excitement with their fans and probably most of the MLB fans.

People believe in the post season anything can happen.  Cheapass seems to fail in the post season.

You can crank out stud pitchers but even that will have a valley.

The Cubs rarely need to add when the rest of the division is subtracting.

These seem contradictory, no?

God I would love to be a brewer fan and have the problem of making it to playoffs every year.

It's crazy that their pitching still looks good.

Have you ever been a fan of such teams that often fail in the post season?  You get less sensitive too it.

Ok.

You said not adding seems to fail in the postseason. And then you said the Cubs don’t need to add when the rest of their division is subtracting.

So, not adding is bad, except for when it is fine?

They could be the bully in that division just spending.  That was the complaint in the previous offseason.

The Cardinals are not the Cardinals anymore since they no longer spend.

Peralta seemed to not live up to the hype in the postseason.

If the Brewers rotation can stay healthy they will be a lot of fun to watch.

If Woodruff makes it to July healthy and they are in the running,  they should shut him down until mid-September.
