WestEddy Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 03:00 AM Hey, somebody mentioned this earlier... The White Sox are 2-0 in Cactus League play for the first time since 2022, for those who keep track of such statistics. — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) February 22, 2026

W/L in exhibition games are virtually unrelated to team quality. Just tell us how individual players are doing. There’s probably no reason to even keep score other than for pitching evaluation

But on top of that, I'm happy our AA-ballers can hold a lead against their A-ballers. There was a time we were kvetching that our major league club wouldn't win a spring training game. Yesterdays game found easily but Sox or A's webcast not on Mlbwebcast. com Oh cool to know that some of the games are free on mlbwebcast.com and chisox.com for spring?? I am still so broke and in “single dad hustle mode” that buying mlb.tv subscription for the year is out of the question again. If anyone has access to an account, please dm me should you be willing to share your poop. Thank you and wipe well fellow Soxtalkers. My life is in absolute shambles and ruin, the ashes still smolder with only hope being the thread which binds life… And yet, I watch the black and white uniform of favor from my toddler years to present day… And everything wrong is forgotten for a moment. Welcome back Chicago White Sox, you are the only remaining vestige of innocence within me. How great the game of Baseball is. Cheers to 2026, fellas. 👏🏼⚾️🧦🏟️

If the rotation can surprise a bit (and I can think there is a non zero chance they can), this team will be sniffing at that last playoff spot. Hope Springs Eternal. You have always been bitten by the optimism bug as well. There’s some good being in this club but boy, sure does open us up to being gullible sometimes. Cheers brother - good to be back. 🫡

Only with fandom you can love knowing full well youre not going to get the ultimate reward very often. But every year you can start that rite of spring again even knowing ( for the most part) how it'll end. You have to love the game 1st not just the colors. It binds generations . Its like watching Field of Dreams and always thinking its a great movie !

So which is it? 🤣 The White Sox finished Spring Training 11-19 in 2025, and 9-20 in 2024. The games don't count, and the rosters are often haywire. That said, it's fun when they win, and I'm eager to see the new acquisitions do well.

Which isnt easy as we've seen. 2
