Monday at 06:29 PM4 days As a Sox fan though, I am glad Bennetti is gone. The toy shelf, Sox math, eating sloppily during broadcasts...I don't know if he pulls any of that sh1t on NBC. Some fans do not like Schriffin which I understand. However, it appears that he has been trying to correct mistakes and make changes as he learns on the go. Look, he has a tough job following the Hawk, a hall of fame announcer. That and always having to demur to Steve Stone - an odd match in the booth. Look, if we win games, who gives a sh1t.

Because he did, Jason followed Hawk...and Scriffin is following a future HoF'er...Bennetti will be in the HoF! Bennetti is AWESOME!

No announcer eats on the air of their own. They get told by their bosses (looking at you Brooks Boyer) to do promos for stuff in the park and make it look amazing for what it costs. Blaming Jason for it is ridiculous.

I know that Benetti ate during some broadcasts, but I thought the “sloppily” or “disgusting” part was just some comments that Jerry and/or Brooks Boyer relayed back to him at some point, which may or may not have even been true?Sports MockeryThe White Sox Told Jason Benetti He is "Disgusting"As if the earlier details of Jason Benetti's departure weren't egregious enough, these next details are even worse. He seems to have ditched the southside stand up (or at least I have yet to hear it) which I am eternally grateful for. That was extremely cringey. I liked Benetti. I understand why he would want to go up to do bigger and better things. I think he has a fantastic broadcaster. It is a bit odd that he calls games for Detroit. Like the guy grew up a Sox fan. It’s just weird. I like him and props to him for getting national attention, but I do feel like he should pick a lane at some point. Go national or stick with a team.
Monday at 07:19 PM4 days Was Bennetti fired or did he choose to leave for a better offer from Detroit? And yes, Bennetti likes to eat during broadcasts and it was a bit gross IMO.https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=jason+Benneytti+eats+during+broadcast Edited Monday at 07:28 PM4 days by tray
Monday at 07:28 PM4 days I understand from a Reddit thread I read some time ago that Bennetti apparently enjoys throwing some shade at the White Sox during Tiger broadcasts. As far as I am concerned anyone who disposes of loyalty for money can fvk all the way off.

If the team didn't like how Jason ate, why didn't they stop the promo? The downgrade to Schriff is like firing Terry Francona and replacing him with Pedro Grifol.

I don't care about prior baseball announcers. Are we playing tonight of not?
