Especially for Shohei and Mune's sessions, surprising amount of crowd pop for BP homers. 17 Korean players watching DR batting practice doomed them from the start. Lots of global travel to get 10 run ruled. Tokyo to Miami has to be one of the longest imaginable routes. Same with Chinese Taipei gawking at Ohtani and Mune moon shots. March 15Mar 15 Venezuela and DR will be tough to beat with decided home field advantage... Healthy Acuna arguably #3 player in baseball. Him or Witt, Jr. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 Sato over Kondoh in RF. Going with youth. I'll match you, buddy. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 Four MVPs AJ. Kondoh might have to play CF...Cubs' fans not liking that slide. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12

March 15Mar 15 8/11 against Yamamoto? Unreal. Fortunate that didn't go out. Need a DP ball desperately. Could be a lot worse. Have to hope to get three more innings from Yamamoto. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 That's a pitch only Arraez is going to hit, Mune. Without Suzuki, talent level advantage now definitely to Venezuela. Chourio might win an MVP someday, hitting 9th. 6 straight wbc semifinals for JPN definitely in jeopardy. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 Sato is definitely the next Japanese star. Can hit the ball all over the field, play GG third and also both corner OF spots.
March 15Mar 15 Depth of Japan is impressive. Kondoh and Shuto can both really play as well... All started with a fundamental bunt play...putting pressure on Suarez. March 15Mar 15 Need two batters to reach to get Ohtani up again. Hope Venezuela doesn't take Italy for granted. Venezuela vs. DR feels like the championship based on how the US has been playing...but Skenes could be the great equalizer. Problem is he's not going to be pushed to the limit...US bullpen has been spotty at best.
March 15Mar 15 Japan is just not playing loose and relaxed after that Abreu homer. Saw the same thing happen to Keller the other day against Italy. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 Not using or having access to Imanaga Senga Sasaki Imai was the big difference tonight in the middle innings...relief corps let them down. Itoh's used to starting in Japan. That and VNZ relief pitching. https://www.vogue.com/article/alicia-machado-beauty-queen-trump Most famous Venezuelan "Machado" former Miss Universe Alicia Machado. March 15Mar 15 Smart hitting there. Maki Genda C/ph Ohtani. Way too anxious ... looks like Mune ends up 4/19 in WBC. Edited March 15Mar 15 by caulfield12
March 15Mar 15 Takahashi was supposed to be final game starter fwiw. Okamoto should have had that... Kikuchi got lit up for three runs his first inning in Japan last weekend. Desperation time.
March 15Mar 15 He’s probably OK, but it’s only fun until a guy has to miss 2 months for no good reason
March 15Mar 15 Really impressive stuff from the Venezuelan bullpen. Selfishly, I'm happy to get Mune back in camp a couple days early. Italy has gotten solid pitching performances so far but Venezuela will definitely test that.
