Sox should bring him back - same with Gio. See if you can show they are healthy and get something…not like they are blocking anyone.

Jays fans starting to clamor for an Eloy call up to help their offense He's hitting well in AAA

Mets have now had Tauchman (injured), Pham (just DFA'd), and Slater in their OF mix this year in addition to Luis.

Gee, I can't imagine why they have the worst record in baseball.

Because Lindor and Soto hate each other.

One has to go.

Wait, weren’t Tauchman and Slater considered good acquisitions by Getz just one year ago?

Can always have it both ways with the Getz Admin.

At least 50% of SoxTalk wanted Tauch back as a fourth outfielder on a “reasonable”contract.

How could they have known?

Who could have possibly known or predicted such a calamitous situation….???

Balta come back.

They were. Getz imbued them with a winning quality that made them good pickups. Just like Fedde, they wander off the property, and the magic dissipates.

Wonder why ex Sox dominated the mlb playoff pens over the last couple of years…??

Sale Crochet Rodon Giolito Lopez and Cease all fell apart after leaving the team and each are currently on the verge of financial destitution.

Robert back on pace for a 1.1 fWAR season. 2nd year in a row his xwOBA is 20 points higher than his actual wOBA. Something just isn't adding up for him anymore.

Do they subtract 9 years off his stated age as a penalty, now?

The Mets are similar to Sox.
Both solid at 2b, SS, 3b (Sox are younger).
Soto and Murakami.
Mets play Vientos, Baty, Tyrone Taylor, Mauricio, Melendez, Benge and Robert and now Slater. Sox play Peters, Hill, Benintendi, Antonacci, Acuna, Pereira and now Kelenic.
Mets better at catcher (also older)

Overall, I'll take Sox position player group.

Crochet to IL. Shoulder inflammation. He got his bag, we got ours, thankfully.

Looking forward to WS Twitter all claiming we should take a flier on this guy.

Crochet says he thinks it will be a minimum length IL stint

Dustin Harris now an every day starter for the Astros -- he had two hits and a steal last night against Boston. He's 7-for-18 (.389) with four RBI and an .868 OPS in his last five games. For some reason, the Sox gave Kelenic more of a runway than Harris, even though both were highly thought of prospects a few years ago. Wonder why they liked Kelenic more than Harris: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/astros-dustin-harris-two-hits-steal-vs-boston/

Harris is a nice player. Peters is more of a direct comparison to Harris than Kelenic. They see Peters as the better fielder. Harris was gone by the time the called up Kelenic, and Kelenic looked to be the top of the AAAA heap for replacement level OFs, out of what's left at Charlotte. I don't know when Pereira is due back, but if Kelenic's hitting .025 after 10-15 games, I don't think it's even a coin flip between Kelenic and Acuña.

He’s hit .233/.333/.302/.635 OPS in 52 plate appearances on the season. He’s a AAAA player, perhaps fourth outfielder at best. Surprised there was even three posts made about the guy.
