Didn't think it was physically possible for Cease to be placed on the IL.

Thought it was one of the certainties of baseball...4 balls is a walk, 3 outs ends an inning, and 32+ starts is a Dylan Cease regular season.

Sox should bring him back - same with Gio. See if you can show they are healthy and get something…not like they are blocking anyone.

Jays fans starting to clamor for an Eloy call up to help their offense He's hitting well in AAA

Vaughn went 2-4 with 2 doubles day and now has a 168 wRC+, granted in only 55 PA after the wrist injury earlier.

Brewers seem to have found something with him, and he's finally pulling the ball on the regular (45% pull rate this season) even if the power isn't really there he's making better contact overall.

Limited player as a below average 1B and the wrong side of a platoon but on the Brewers he just slides in as a solid bat and that's about all they and I'd assume Andrew need for success.

That said, a divorce was needed for both parties and there's no hard feelings at this point. Vaughn was a symbol of the failed old regime and it was better for everybody to move on.

2 HR game for Mead as the Guards get shelled and maybe finally drop a game

Good for him. There really was no room for him on this roster.

.738 OPS is exactly 2025 Benintendi lol

Burger salary? $3.2 million.

Burger when he gets streaky hot will get up to 825-850...AB can't do that.

Burger hasn't been a .825+ OPS player since the year he was traded...which was also the only time he's ever been that.

Nice guy, easy to root for, but strangely overrated by this fan base.

Lenyn Sosa finally walked today, in his 113th AB of the season

Well we could have kept him over Lenyn, who we dumped for nothing a few weeks later anyways.

Still the average AL DH has to be around 750-775 this year, yes?

It would be better to have Burger there out hitting Benintendi and use the $10 million left over reinforcing the rotation.

Plus Burger is much easier to root for.

Everyone has their favorites like Antonacci Teel Meidroth Nishida etc.

Nobody says Benintendi is one of their favorites unless they are Red Sox fans thinking it's still a decade prior.

Thankfully we're now in a position where we have younger cheaper probably more promising options in house for these end of roster spots. I was hesitant to let Sosa walk but with Chase holding his own and Sam banging down the door there just wasn't any room for him here. The mistake was probably just letting it come to that, he could have gotten a lotto ticket in the offseason.

And the way things played out, maybe Toronto had no interest or need for Mead or Sosa at the end of spring training, and the Nats were only interested in Mead. The only argument for Sosa was "he led the team in HRs!!!" Not that he was a great hitter who needed PAs.

Wow, Meadiocre with an .853 OPS. Getz may have given up on him too soon.

Maybe DH, but probably only if Jerry would have approved paying Benintendi the rest of his salary to play for another team.
