If he was running on the pitch it’s still a stolen base. And it’s passed ball not pass ball. And it wasn’t Peters’ ball, it was Acuna’s. Learn the game.

Right now the problem with Getz as GM is the problem with Getz as head of player development: he can't SCOUT. He has absolutely zero eye for talent. At least Hahn preferred tools, even if a guy had ze

How some of you guys have watched baseball as long as you have and think that was Peters' ball is crazy. CF has the gaps. This is LL stuff. You have to back off as a corner guy if he misses it he miss

It looked like he got his shoulder after he over slid. Lucky.

ah yea got his helmet.

I think he grazes the helmet right before the finger comes down. That’s the only way

whoever teaches our IF tags needs to be replaced. We've struggled with it for years.

Saw a great drill for players to work on it using a bag to place the ball in before the base. Goal is to miss the bag.

Helmet tag barely perceptible

like all those last touch ncaa tourney appeals

It's probably just a combo of having poor defenders and poor coaching but man it seems our guys are never really in a good tagging position.

His arm is tough so far - still throwing like he's on the infield - but I think he'll be fine defensively. He's got good instincts and speed. He's taken a couple rounded routes this year, but that'll come with reps. His angles haven't been great.

His problem is he can't and never could hit.

Yeah, I’m much more concerned about the bat than him not looking great in CF defensively four games into his career there.

Venable out-managed, over and again. LH reliever struck out two lefties, then Venable allows Benny to bat and whiff on the same sweeper trash. Not a good in-game Manager.

Acuna is a butcher in CF. Two errors and interfered with the RFer making him miss...all in the same critical and possibly decisive inning. Maybe try Tristan Peters out there.

Not too smart putting 3 straight lefties in the order

So is John just not going to bother with play by play at times? Yikes. Bacon having to step in there.

Acuna was no where near catching the ball. Look, he's not an outfielder. How many bad plays do we need to figure that out? 3 in one inning allowing the Marlins to turn the game around?

Acuna was right behind him, both of them could have made the catch

Austin hays is dogshit. We are running out a lineup that is non competitive at 1/3 the spots, regardless of the improvement elsewhere.

1/3 is generous. Someone like Quero shouldn’t be hitting against RHP

Right behind him is not the best position for the diminutive infielder to make a catch. Look, he isn't an outfielder, never was and never will be.

that's the CF's ball every time. Luis would've made it known then stared down Oscar Colas or whatever bum was playing RF.

I’m not saying he is an outfielder. I’m saying you are incorrect to say he was nowhere near the ball. The ball crosses between the two of them as they pass each other, they both saw each other and neither went fully for the ball. If Peter’s didn’t cross his path, Acuna could have made that catch

He's trying to improve. Doing his best Hawk impression

That is honestly what I thought. Our guy Ks and John just clammed up like Hawk would at times.
