White Sox got back $8 million from Boston in the trade. Makes it a little less ugly. So the White Sox will pay Hicks a total of $16 million for two years.

There’s still so many variables to declare this trade good or bad. We don’t know how Sandlin will turn out, and there’s still 3 players yet to be exchanged.

I just meant Hicks himself. He doesn’t look good. Not worth $16 million over two seasons either. Hopefully Sandlin makes it worth it.
