3 walks in the first for Hagen. Still only 1 out. :(

Inning was a disaster for Smith. Tons of pitches. He was not finishing his delivery so leaving pitches away from the righties. Can’t even be a reliever if you’re doing that.

Great looking pitch chart for Hagen in the first 🤮

Ugly start so far for Hagen. Bad command and his fastball is 93, 94.

This month went from three future starters lined up behind Schultz to even bigger ?'s and yet another ? in Oppor.

Pitching is such a fickle and fleeting commodity.

Sigh....Hagen needs alot more work. The dip in velocity is bad too.

My best guess is Hagen's slight drop in velo has to do with him trying to aim it better, but he did have a brief scare with the arm/elbow last season as I recall.

Is Sandlin now the next man up? Seems like he would need a few more starts before he’s ready for a starters work load. Bizarre situation right now.

I should say I might be generous in calling the velo drop "slight" depending on where you want to say the baseline should be. I took his first start sitting 96-97 as maybe higher than his healthy normal, but maybe that's not true.

Have there been any updates on the recoveries of Thorpe, Bush, and Mason Adams? I don't remember even hearing about Adams in spring training.

Gonzalez with a 2b. Knights up 3-2. Bat is noticeably quicker.

When does the throw Gonzalez into a corner OF experiment begin? 🙂

Problem there is he’s a below average runner, which is tough in the outfield. Like everyone else in this org, his best position is probably 2b.

No-stress third inning for Hagen but velo took another dive. His first fastball of the inning was 90.7mph.

Smith’s delivery was much much better in his final 2 innings. Burke gives me hope that Sox may be able to help Hagen get more consistent. When he finishes, he is hard to hit.

I am on board

What is this the 4th of July?

You know Cannon was not always this bad. Not that obvious to me what changed.
