His session was scheduled for 3 p.m. A message went out to the whole clubhouse. Practically the entire group made a point to be there.Vasil emerged from the dugout that afternoon to an audience of teammates waiting to watch him play catch. He played it up. As his teammates clapped, Vasil threw a pitch, raised his arms, tossed his glove and yelled, “The Sox win the pennant.”Toward the end of it all, a funny guy started tearing up.“For everyone to take time out of their day, for me,” Vasil said, “it was, ‘Oh, wow, I’ve actually made an impact on all these people.’”Will be a great moment when this guy is back on the mound.
