For my money, today’s MVP was Taylor.

I just added more to my previous post about it but I just learned this.

The phrase originates from the stage. Traditional three-walled sets have an invisible "fourth wall" facing the audience. When an actor speaks directly to the crowd or addresses the camera, they are "breaking" that invisible boundary. [1]

Off topic but I don’t care, here’s my nerd trivia question for the board:

What other Marvel Comics character/ superhero breaks the 4th wall and talks to the comic reading audience?

I never read comics very much growing up. I didn't have money. I'll take a wild guess and say Spider-Man

She Hulk.

The 2005 team were killers. No doubt they had elite talent that year but what really separated them from the pack was that they were ultimately stone cold killers. This lot are starting to resemble them mentality wise.

Yep. Imagine if the rotation buds similar talent.

Ding, ding, ding! Yes, you are correct: She Hulk.

Went to the game, my first time this year. Did my old trick of buying an upper deck ticket and then finding a spot in the 100 level to sit. Got lucky and had a great spot 8 rows off the field just past 3rd base. That might be the last time I get to do that on a weekend. Obviously had a blast at the game and the atmosphere in the park was electric. I think the dudes with the shirts off thing is dumb, but they were having a blast and that energy just added to the atmosphere. That catch by Ant in the 8th was awesome to see live.

I've been very anti-JR these last few years; didn't go to a game in 23 or 24 and only went once last year on the day they had the Aparicio bobblehead giveaway. But I had a blast yesterday and this team is just fun to watch and root for. I'll definitely get to a few more games this year.

10-15 years ago, you had to grease the Andy Frains to get into the lower deck. I guess the team isn't back there, yet.
