Hate? Who hates him?

I think something could be going on with Peters off the field. Since the all star break he has done a complete 180 on the field. I remember reading that his wife went to the emergency room during the all star festivities. Maybe she has some health issues that are weighing on him. I don't know I'm just guessing but the change in him has been baffling.

I figured it was the league adjusting it’s approach and him being unable to counter… that is still likely but good call on bringing up what could possibly be an unreported confounding factor.

I'm three beers in because I went to cork and Kerry event and Ozzie Diez's nice pour, so this might not be entirely coherent. But, half of the people here give him s%*# for not having fancy metrics when in reality, he's a 15-20 HR guy who plays excellent defense on the infield. If we had this player in 2022, we would have gotten to the playoffs.

Feel like Meidroth and few others are examples of the athletes that Hahn failed to acquire during our competitive window that we badly needed.

Get twice as drunk for me since I’ve been dry for the better part of forever and most importantly, bring on a White Sox winner.

Then we’re good.

Otherwise, hell will rise up from the ground of the earth and swallow you up.

Hopefully we get word about what is hurting Chase.

I never understood why some posters wanted him benched and traded. He's a top 5 second baseman in baseball. Everyone wants every new guy to be Mike trout instantly. Even trout struggled his first year.

Looked like a wrist issue.

One of the top 3 2nd baseman in the AL. The hate he gets is mind blowing.

He made the Red Sox regret his trade.

Currently at 3.0 fWAR on the season, which is a 4.3 win season pace. That fWAR ranks 2nd overall on the team behind Vargas and is the best in the AL amongst all 2B.

His 121 wRC+ ranks 2nd overall amongst AL 2B. Yes, a lot of blue on his Statcast page, but don’t ignore that 87th percentile squared up rate. There is a reason this kid has 11 bombs already despite below average raw power. He’s an intelligent hitter who has two elite skills and still trying to find the appropriate trade-offs to optimize his output.

He’s currently ranked in the 92nd percentile for OAA and is constantly making great plays out there. Him and Colson are absolutely fantastic at turning double plays. In the event of injury, the kid could slide over to SS and give you average defense there. He is heady player who does the small things on the field that make a big difference.

The kid is also the heart & soul of the team. He plays the game with an intensity second only to Pyscho Sam. Every time there is a big moment he’s the first one out there to celebrate with his teammates. To say he brings the fire would be an understatement. His role in the clubhouse is a key part of this team exceeding expectations this year.

Ultimately this kid is an absolute stud. Hands down Chase is my favorite player on this roster and last night’s clutch performance only cemented that for me. At this point, it’s not Meidroth who should be worried about Roch’s eventual arrival. IMO, he should be our starting 2B for the next five years and I could give two fucks if the haters disagree.

Meidroth brings that good California vibe to the team.

Cool?

California?

Not according to the media.

Jon Garland was the last Cali cool Sox playerI can remember, unless you count Giolito, but his family is/was too rich to be counter-culture skateboarder cool.

When I saw number 10 wince after the pitch I thought he was disappointed he fouled off a pitch that was clearly a ball, while Peters appeared to have 2nd base stolen. He did seem to be favoring his left arm later, though it did not stop him from getting the big hit. Seeing him as the player he is I bet he plays through it.

Gonna be honest man they looked completely cool with it while sweeping the Sox twice lol
