No matter which team won that game last night, to me, it was an example of how great baseball is. Now that the Cubs and Sox are both good at the same time, it takes the crosstown series to another level. Any baseball fan who watched that game had to be enthralled. Who knows, maybe these teams will meet in the World Series, and that would be one for the ages.

Baseball is so unpredictable. The White Sox almost won that game last night with four hits. It would be like a football team winning a game with only four first downs.

Sometimes teams will win a bullpen game against another team‘s ace.

Before the ending, Cubs hadn't lost a game with an 8 or more hit advantage since 1979 against the We Are Family Pirates, WS winners that year with Parker/Stargell.

Some fat Cubs fan started a fight by throwing a drink and then got his ass kicked. This is what we live for.

I saw that video and it looked like another guy in a Cubby shirt was also throwing down on that big guy....those bleachers can be a mess.

I see a mostly inconsistent pitcher until he develops command. So that is middle relief. And if he can maintain his 94mph 4-seamer for only an inning or 2, that is also middle relief.
Going forward, yes I see him more as a starter than a back-end reliever due to the 94 mph. But he needs it for 6-7 innings; and then there is his delivery and balance- yikes. Middle relief.

It looked to me like Little Sandberg was that particular kind of sociopath who shows up in mob violence situations--the guy with zero stake in the fight who just wants a chance to hurt somebody and so delivers a few unprovoked shots when somebody goes down. He even looked like he tried to fool Fat Sandberg for a second, like he was trying to help him, before his lizard-brain urges overtook him and he took a couple cheap shots.

My advice to you is to stay away from any Sandburg jerseys tonight

Another rule I'd like to see is after nine innings there would be no ghost runner, but position players must pitch.

Baseball fucking sucks.
