I’d have to see a big improvement in his strikeout percentage before even thinking of signing him after next season. He needs to level out that uppercut swing and create more contact, line drive homers.

I know people have horrible memories about James Shields, mainly because of losing Tatis. But so far, Castillo would have to improve a lot to get up to the below-average level of James Shields.

James Shield would probably be good enough to help Sox hold on to the division, but not the Castillo we have right now.
