The Official Scoreboard Watching Thread

Featured Replies

We’re down to the final 30ish games of the season. Every game counts, including those for the teams we are fighting against. Right now, discussions of Cleveland scores appear in various threads. Let’s keep them in one place. Obviously, Cleveland is the team we care about most, but Texas/Houston games are huge as well if we can hang on in the division. Let’s get that 2 seed.

Cleveland loses, Houston wins, Texas loses.

For tiebreaker watch...

The big ones:

  • MIN: Sox lead 5-3 with 5 to play (2 road, 3 home)

  • CLE: Sox lead 6-4 with 3 to play (all @ CLE)

  • DET: Sox lead 6-3 with 4 to play (all at home)

For seeding:

  • HOU: Sox trail 1-2 with 4 to play @ HOU

  • TEX: Sox clinched 4-2

Technically possible?

  • KC: Sox clinched 7-3 with 3 to play @ KC

  • SEA: Sox split 3-3

KC ties it at 2

Great thread idea

Sorry I did not see it sooner

With their losses, Guardians and Astros both dropped to .500 today

Talk me off the ledge. Everybody in KC has the Royals continuing this sizz and making the playoffs. Is it possible? Likely? It would be annoying to have them continue this domination and make the postseason.

Division is well out of reach but the wild card isn't. It's possible for them to sneak into the third wild card spot but it would require every other team competing with them to collapse.

It’s going to be glorious watching our Sox beat the s%*# out of all the divisional teams who are chasing them.

The White Sox Reapers!!

Royals final 3 games are at home against Cleveland. If they can figure out a way to get within 3 games of them by that series they have a chance. Of course, multiple other teams to jump as well.

Early 3-1 lead for Cleveland with a very favorable pitching matchup (Messick vs. Lugo)

KC is putting a lot of pitches on Messick at least, he's at 53 after 2.

6-1

too much to expect to take over division with a stranglehold this early

9-1 and Lugo is out after JRam's first HR since June 6th.

I expected CLE to win this one with Messick going. appreciate KC for winning the series at least.

Jays will have a lot of incentive to do the same and Cease/Soriano should give them a good chance.

Toronto will likely be winners of 4/5 and go into CLE only 2 games under .500.

hard to hope for much more going into Friday night's games

CLE is also 8-13 in their last 21 home games even after winning today

Very winnable series for a Jays team coming in hot with a chance to take WC3

Does Cleveland ever play on the road?
