He's also fast and could steal more than he does.I get the sense that there is a concern that his 2026 production was luck-induced; that could be true, but it's not like he had some gaudy batting average propping things up. His walk rate could use improvement (for this regime; it would be top tier in prior regimes).

I couldn't imagine receiving any real good player for him. If they're not going to get anything decent for him maybe its just best that he stays here.

But as for speculation...it feels like it is becoming a Joe Borchard situation although Colson has contributed more that Joe B did so far. And when we needed to give Joe B a change of scenery we ended up with Matt Thornton I think...which was alright. I would hope Colson would get more of a return than Matt Thornton though.
