January 4, 200422 yr Scott Radinsky, Craig Grebek, Julio Franco, and Lance Johnson to name but a few.
January 4, 200422 yr Oh yes, we had such a dominant roatation Our badass ace James Baldwin, with such studs as cal eldred, mike sirotka, jim parque, and kip wells. They got the job done didnt they? Nuff said.

January 4, 200422 yr WILBUR WOOD I’m like throwin’ f***in’ junk scraping the sides of the plate fluttering across broken winged accumulating insults & lounging in stale air I’m the junkballer & from a few feet away I look easy to hit but, friend, understand that my s*** explodes BOOM! & it sure as hell ain’t where you thought it’d be when you started that swing & yr fury fans the air impotent while my junk falls behind you, immaculate He once pitched both ends of a double header. Gotta love that.
January 4, 200422 yr WILBUR WOOD I was gonna add Woody on my list, but I thought he was too "sung" to be an "unsung" hero! He was, after all, a FOUR TIME 20-game winner...and a TWO-time 20-game loser....once in the SAME season! WOW! And he was a fat guy, too.....excellent....
January 4, 200422 yr But Woody seems forgotten by Sox fans today. That, unfortunately, is true. My idea for a t-shirt: "Sox fans had Wood when Cub fans were still crapping their diapers!" ...and unlike their Wood, our Wood actually WON more than 14 games in a season!!!

And Wood was not on the White Sox all Century team.
January 4, 200422 yr Ron Karcavice, if thats how you spell it. I just remember him as being an old man who caught and had decent power.
January 4, 200422 yr Ron Karcavice, if thats how you spell it. I just remember him as being an old man who caught and had decent power. Ah good ol' Karkovice...Doesn't he or did have the longest HR in the Cell?
January 4, 200422 yr I know he had a really long one when I was there, and that might be the one you're thinking of. The record is held by Thomas now, I believe, from a shot against the Twins in 2002. Before that Chavez from Oakland had the record I'm pretty sure.
January 4, 200422 yr I don't mind him now...but the one I used to hate when I was younger was Joey Cora.... ....He would just always end the innings leaving my then favorite player Thomas on deck.
January 4, 200422 yr Ah good ol' Karkovice...Doesn't he or did have the longest HR in the Cell? Not unless he hit the first HR at the new comiskey. Pasqua had the longest HR for a long time, was passed by Eric Chavez, and that was passed by the Big Hurt.
January 4, 200422 yr Good 'Ol Ron Karkovice! And in case you didn't know, he was an actor for a short time before his baseball career, and appeared in "The Wizard Of Oz."
January 4, 200422 yr I don't mind him now...but the one I used to hate when I was younger was Joey Cora.... ....He would just always end the innings leaving my then favorite player Thomas on deck. The same thing would happen in the computer games I used to play. In the game, speed meant nothing and power was a huge asset so Cora always sucked, and Thomas Ventura as #3 and 4 were awesome.
January 4, 200422 yr Good 'Ol Ron Karkovice! And in case you didn't know, he was an actor for a short time before his baseball career, and appeared in "The Wizard Of Oz." Ahahahahaha....that looks exactly like him....That's great!
January 4, 200422 yr Walter "No Neck" Williams "King" Carlos May Tommie Agee Ken "the Bandit" Berry Don Buford Charles "Buddy" Bradford Joel Horlen Ed "Supe" Herrmann Hoyt "The Good Doctor" Wilhelm Rudy Law Tom Paciorek, the Wimpmeister
January 4, 200422 yr Ken Berry and Tommie Agee covering the OF in 1966-67. I don't think we needed a third OF'er with those 2 guys in the field. Smokey Burgess coming off the bench to pinch hit and coming through. Joel Horlen outdueling Jim Lonborg and posting a better record, but Lonborg getting the Cy Young. Ron Hansen at SS. Dick Allen Jorge Orta could hit a ton Bill Melton at 3B Walt (No-Neck) Williams Scott Fletcher at 2B. Here was a grinder that would have made Ozzie proud.
