Anyone have any bold predictions?

Best Picture: TROTK

That is the only thing I am sure of.

I'm probably going out on a limb on this one, but I have a hunch that it will be an extremely long show....

I usually am able to watch the entire show, I know that's sad, but this year there is nothing nominated I really care for or seen. There are a few categories I have favorites for, but otherwise, blah!

sure bets:

picture LOTR

actress Charize Theron

director Jackson

score howard Shore LOTR

orig screenplay Sophia Coppola

animated Nemo

documentary Capturing the Friedmans

foreign Barbarian Invasions

very probable

actor Sean Penn

sup act Tim Robbins

Two fearless predictions:

The show will suck.

I won't be watching.

PUT THOSE IN THE BANK!!!!!!

PUT THOSE IN THE BANK!!!!!!

all I know is that I could care less :huh

wrong, Illini boy

you couldn't care less

if you could care less, that means you care some

:finger

I just cannot get into watching these award shows. I will be hoping that LOTR pickes up best movie and possibly a little over due respect.

score howard Shore LOTR

I need to get my eyes checked. I skimmed of that and thought it read score howard Stern LOTR. lol. I thought "huh?"

"The time for honouring yourself will soon be at an end..."

I'll make some predictions

Picture: ROTK

Actor: Penn

Actress: Theron

Sup Actor: Robbins

Sup Actress: Aghdashloo

Director: Jackson

Screenplay: Lost in Translation (original) ROTK (adapted)

Nuke Laloosh our first winner!! :D

I'm not the awards show type guy....

Nuke Laloosh our first winner!!  :D

as named by RibbieR and... someone else ;)

ROTK could win all 11 this year. It could happen.

In America should have been the best picture this year

the LOTR near sweep is happening - it is 4 for 4 already and other than adapted screenplay (which may go Mystic River) and possibly best song, LOTR should take at least 9 based on the current rate which is now 5 of 5 for sound mixing

already has art direction

costume

make up

visual effects

sound mixing

the LOTR near sweep is happening - it is 4 for 4 already and other than adapted screenplay (which may go Mystic River) and possibly best song, LOTR should  take at least 8 based on the current rate which is now 5 of 6 for sound mixing and sound editing going to Master and Commander

LOTR wasn't nominated for sound editing.

you'd be right and I'd be wrong so I have corrected that post - thanks for the correction!!

That documentary guy was sweet.

Now 6 for 6, best original score.

Seven, ROTK is in heaven.

Finally, something good.

Mitch & Mickey!!! :snr :headbang
